About Our Villa
Come and enjoy Colonial Mexico in this historical neighborhood of the City of Guanajuato. Our Bed and Breakfast is just around the corner from Parque Embajadoras and main services like bank, ATM machine, pharmacy, clinic and Internet cafe.
Villa Sueño Azul is close enough to the nightlife and the university, but at the same time secluded in one of Guanajuato's best neighborhoods.
Internationally trained American architects have remodeled our house to be a unique Bed & Breakfast. It has six guest rooms each with its own bath. Every room has been carefully decorated to offer a sense of tradition and comfort. The furniture, for instance, was hand crafted by Mexican carpenters. Several decorative items showcase the traditional "talavera" of Guanajuato (ceramic handmade Mexican pottery). The photography art pieces displayed throughout the house were also carefully selected to ensure every little corner provided an experience of relaxation and renovation of the senses.
The house was designed around a very modern/colonial patio that frames an elegant wall “cantera” fountain. The patio is covered with a long transparent dome that allows for luscious plants and flowers to make it even more vibrant. During the summer days when the temperature ranges from 65° to 85° Fahrenheit (15° to 30° Celsius) the living room opens to the outdoor, to let the breeze and the sound of the fountain in. In the winter, when the climate is colder (55° to 70°) the fireplace in the living room, and the chimney in the upper deck get lit to accompany your evenings.
The owners are two American architects and their special friend Cristina Rodriguez, who is also the live in manager. Together with our staff she will make your stay so pleasant you will want to come back. She fixes a full breakfast with a different menu every morning, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
OUR FACILITIES ARE NON-SMOKING, however, you may smoke on the upper terrace, another excellent place to sit and relax too.
