Flying and Driving Directions

Flying to León

To get to the City of Guanajuato (which is the capital of the State) you need to fly to León's International Airport (BJX)  that is 30 mins. away from our Bed & Breakfast.  The major airlines that fly to Guanajuato are Continental, American, Mexicana, & Aeroméxico. Once you arrive to León's airport and have cleared Customs & Immigration you will exit the arrival gate.

Taking a Taxi at the Airport

Just before you exit the building entirely, you will see to your left a tiny booth selling taxi tickets.  Buy one to downtown Guanajuato, it should be about $500 pesos ($30 U.S. Dollars approximately).  They will point you outside with a number.  You will be looking for the cab that has that number.

They should help you with your luggage too.  When you meet the driver ask him to take you to Guanajuato to "Jardín Embajadoras" (Embajadoras Garden), which is on the way to "Presa de la Olla" (a small dam). Our address is San Sebastián #88 enfrente del Templo de San Sebastián (in front of San Sebastián Temple).

Flying to Guadalajara

The Cheapest way to get to Guanajuato sometimes is to fly to Guadalajara's International Airport (GDL) (it is about $200 U.S. Dollars cheaper than flying to León), and from there take a bus to Guanajuato which takes 4 hours to get there.

How to take the bus from Guadalajara's Airport

Take a taxi and ask the driver to take you to "La Nueva Central Camionera" (The New Bus Station) it should cost you $10 U.S. Dollars approx.

Get dropped off at Primera Plus, or ETN (these are the bus lines that go to Guanajuato).  Tickets are about $30 U.S. Dollars per person. They provide clean bathrooms, lunch bags, movies and leg-rests. The trip takes 4 hours.  Once in Guanajuato's Bus Station go out and ask for a taxi to take you to:

San Sebastián #88, enfrente del Templo de San Sebastián, por el Jardín  Embajadoras.  Villa Sueño Azul is across the street from San Sebastián Temple, next to Embajadoras Garden. The ride is about 7 to 12 mins., and should cost  you $60 pesos.
